A lot of the folks coming to Benton Co., AL were from South Carolina to Franklin Co., TN by about 1810 or a little latelr and on to Benton/Calhoun in the late 1830s. My bunch were in Johnston and Wake Co., NC before Wilkes and Oglethorpe Co., GA. Then to Tennessee. Some of them were in South Carolina around 1790 to 1800. Some other branches were in Lincoln Co. instead of Franklin. Some were in the part of Franklin that became Grundy and Coffee Cos. TN.
