Buried- Sally and John Smith’s children were: (All were born in AL) (1) John Columbus (c. 1871 to), (2) William Henry (c. 4-1874 to), (3) Cager Marian (c. 1876 to), (4) James Washington (c. 12-1881 to), (5) Marshall A (c. 9-1884 to), (6) Wallace L (c. 12-1888 to), (7) Georgie Lula (or D) Martin (?), (c. 2-1891 to), (8) Escue (c. 2-1893 to), (9) Millard D (or A.)(c. 11-1896 to) Sally was 5 weeks old was when she was brought back to AL from Arkansas. Sally Joined Shiloh PB Church on 5-26-1867 See 1880 Census- Calhoun Co., AL, (Hollingsworth), Vol. 3, Ed. 9, Sh. 45., Line 7. See 1900 Census- Calhoun Co., AL, (Allen), Vol. 7, Ed. 32, Sh. 5, Line 29. See 1910 Census- Talladega Co., AL, #ED 123, Sh 9, Vol. 103, for John Smith. It read as follows: John Smith, b. GA, 1853-4 Sarah “ , b. AR, 1855-6 Wallace “ , b. AL , 1889-90 S.O. (a boy), b. AL , 1893-4 Millard O. , b. AL , 1897-8 Lina ( a grandchild) , b. 1899 Rosa ( a grandchild) , b. 1901 Note- “John William Smith had a half brother named N.W. (?)” This Family was living at McFall (Eastabooga), Talladega Co., AL, on 08-05-1907, when Sarah A. and Martha applied for Cherokee Indian compensation ( their application was rejected for lack of proof that their father, Jacob G. Elliott, had Cherokee blood).
