See 1900 Census- Calhoun Co., AL, (Allen), Vol. 7, Ed. 32, Sh. 5, Line 29. See 1910 Census- Talladega Co., AL, #ED 123, Sh 9, Vol. 103, for John Smith. It read as follows: John Smith, b. GA, 1853-4 Sarah “ , b. AR, 1855-6 Wallace “ , b. AL , 1889-90 S.O. (a boy), b. AL , 1893-4 Millard O. , b. AL , 1897-8 Lina ( a grandchild) , b. 1899 Rosa ( a grandchild) , b. 1901 Note- “John William Smith had a half brother named N.W. (?)” This Family was living at McFall (Eastabooga), Talladega Co., AL, on 08-05-1907, when Sarah A. and Martha applied for Cherokee Indian compensation ( their application was rejected for lack of proof that their father, Jacob G. Elliott, had Cherokee blood).
