    1. [ALCALHOU] CRANKFIELD - CRANFIELD
    2. I am looking for any information on Jonathan CRANKFIELD, b. 26 November 1802, Fairfield Co. SC, d. 24 February 1875 in Calhoun Co. AL Buried, Crankfield Rose Garden Cemetery, Chosea Springs, Choccolocco Valley, Calhoun Co. AL. It is my understanding that a Jonathan/Johnathon CRANFIELD was wounded at the Battle of Chickamauga and died from that wound. Record Rolls of John A Averett's Independent Infantry Company at Alabama State Historical Society show that he enlisted 15 May 1862 in Calhoun Co. AL at the age of 18. His name is given as John Crankfield in this record. I would appreciate any help in determining the correct date of birth if the above two individuals are one and the same. If anyone has any information on whether the Crankfield Rose Garden Cemetery in Calhoun Co. AL has been charted, I would certainly appreciate information on the person I may contact for those records. Thank you. Arlene Hampton
