This unannounced change in programming was the responsibility of the Lifetime Channel and clearly was disappointing to many online genealogists who watched or taped the show for naught. It would appear that the segment about Online Genealogy has been re-scheduled to this Friday, November 6th. Please remember that there is no guarrantee from the Lifetime Channel that they will, in fact, follow their announced scheduling. See http://www.lifetimetv.com/onair/shows/na/friday.html for a program description. Please consult your local TV guide for information about what channel number Lifetime appears on in your area and also for air times for the "New Attitudes" program on November 6th. We certainly hope that the segment will air this Friday. I'm working on Allen, Muckleroy and related families in Benton Co.,AL. Mrs. Gandrud (Gandrud and Jones) transcribed some Benton/Calhoun Co., records. There is a book on Old Estates and Wills for Benton/Calhoun Co., AL. I copied some pages, but I don't have your surnames. I expect the LDS church would have film. Benton Co. records seem to be in pretty good shape. My ancestors were there in 1840 and some of them in 1850. Some related families were Burrows, McBee, Boozer, Elliott, - mostly families on page 12 of the 1840 census. I'm interested in ALL of the Allens in Benton/Calhoun Co. before 1870. Seeking information on Emanuel EBERHART/EVERHART who settled in Benton Co. Alabama about 1838. He was on 1844 tax list there and married Rachel MONTGOMERY daughter of William MONTGOMERY and Sarah STEELE in 1846. Emanuel Everhart and the Montgomery family came to Grayson County Texas about 1848. Are there any records available relating to the purchase and sales of slaves during this time period? Our local libraries have practically no records of Calhoun/Benton Co. Alabama. Any info very much appreciated. Mike & June
