Would someone be kind enough to look up an obituary for Martha Elizabeth Schell or Shell? She passed away May 13, 1923 probably in Anniston, Alabama. Need to know where she is buried. Any other information gleaned from this record would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Rick Eklund
Looking for any information on Moses McCULLOUGH, dob unk. Place of birth probably Scotland. Was believed to have a farm in Dallas Co. AL, "on the banks of the Alabama River", in 1860...this farm supposedly stayed in the family for many years. I have not found any trace of it. There are Land Patent Records for Moses H. McCullough in Shelby Co. AL, but none for Dallas Co. There is note of a marriage of Moses H. McCullough to Malicia MARTIN, on 8 April 1856 in Shelby Co. AL. Moses H. McCullough had three sons: F. Moses, James, and Charlie. F. Moses was said to have been born in Scotland. I don't know the place of birth of James or Charlie. I have not found Moses McCullough on any online Ships Passenger Lists. Also seeking information on Frank McCullers, b. 1890, Calhoun Co. AL Died 1954. Was married to Ruby Alma Byrd also of Calhoun Co. AL. Information on any of the above, or any suggestions on where to look next, will be most appreciated. Arlene Hampton AHamptonResearch@aol.com

Some of them migrated on down into Talladega Co. near the Lincoln and Ironoton area. Are these the same Martins as yours?

I'm searching for info on: Loving Martin and his wife, Permelia. They were probably from South Carolina. Their daughter, Edna C. Martin, married Edward Pinckney Gregory, around 1853. These two families moved to Alabama around 1853/54, probably to Calhoun Co. It's possible that Edna had a sister named Ann Martin b. abt 1850, she married John Steward in 1870 and she died in 1907. She's buried in the Martin Family Cemetery in Ohatchee, Calhoun Co., AL. I do have lots of info on the descendants of these families, but need more info on them in Alabama. Thanks! Barbara (Gregory) Price
Where do I find the Census books for Cherokee County, Alabama 1850-1870? Thanks, Ray Sword Weaver, AL

I can no longer do look-ups on the marriage CD for Alabama. If you wish, the CD can be purchased at Family Tree Maker. Use that for the keyword and you can access the site. Mine is #248, Marriage Index: Alabama, 1800-1900. I enjoyed helping those that I have helped already but the response was over-whelming!! I'm so sorry! Sara
