Hi List, We have a copy of the Bullock County Breeze, Union Springs, AL, Friday July 23, 1909. The following article does not pertain to our family but mentions several names that might be of interest to others: "RESOLUTIONS ON THE DEATH OF MAJ. D. S. BETHUNE, BY ASSOCIATE MEMBERS OF THE COUNTY BOARD. In the death of Maj. D. S. Bethune, Supt. of Education of Bullock Co. and associate member of the County Board, the county has lost one of its best citizens. Truly he merited the name commonly attributed to him, a christian gentleman. Having been associated with him very closely, officially and socially for the past five years, we feel very sadly his death. Though sick quite a long time, he was always pleasant and courteous in the discharge of his official duties. Whereas it has pleased our heavenly Father to take our brother associate to himself and from our midst, Be it resolved, That we cherish very highly his manly qualities, and while we as associates mourn our loss, we feel that it is his gain. We extend to his bereaved family our most sincere sympathy. 2nd, That a copy of these resolutions be placed upon the minutes of the Board, also, that a copy be sent to his family. J. F. Martin D. A. Hixon S. J. Rutland J. P. Hall County Board of Education" Hope these names belong to some of you. Evelyn Leslie
