Is anyone familiar with the cemeteries in or around Midway, AL in Bullock Co.. My great great grandmother, Frances "Fannie" Sims died 7-13-1853 in Midway, Al. She was born, Frances Bottoms, in 1823 in GA and married M. R. (Malachi Reaves) Sims in Pike Co. GA 12-22-1842. In 1850 they migrated to Barbour Co. with their young son, James Monroe Sims (my great grandfather). She died not long after her fifth child, Sarah was born. Sarah Frances followed her to the grave just one month later, 8-24-1853. The other three children were, Mark Washington, Mary Ann Elizabeth and John Martin. Midway was in Barbour co. at the time of Frances' death in 1853, but Bullock Co. was formed in 1866 and Midway now resides in Bullock Co. For years I have been trying to find out how I can locate her grave, but cannot seem to find out about the cemeteries in or around Midway. There are 7 Midways in AL, this is the one in Bullock. Co. near the Barbour Co. line. If anyone can help me locate her gravesite, or can put me in contact with a way to find out about the cemeteries in and around this Midway, I would be very appreciative.
