    1. [AL-BULLOCK] Re: ALBULLOC-D Digest V01 #42
    2. Dear Randall I also live out of state and understand your dilemma. I have visited the Bullock County Court House on several occasions and the staff is small. But, you are in luck. There is a local historian and research in the area. His name is Dean Spratlin. He is quite knowledgable and has completed a lot of research on the residents of Bullock County. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have any information on your family members. If you e-mail me personally, I will give you his phone number. Also, the Montgomery Archive will do a search of up to four record types for $20. The categories are County Probate Records, (1880-1920) Confederate Military Records, Other AL Military Records, Other Alabama Records (suname files/genealogical folders (1924-1979) , Maps, Private manuscripts and newspapers on microfilm), and Federal Census Records for the years 1820 to 1920.You can download their Out-of-State Reference Request Form from their web site at www.arhives.state.al.us. Good luck on your ancestral journey. Emily
