Is anyone else out there researching John Martin White (1818-1858) and his wife, Mary Anne Lovicy Jordan (1827-1878)? They lived in Uchee, Russell County, AL, and Glenville, Barbour County, AL and are buried at Midway. He was an attorney, justice of the peace and school teacher educated at University of Georgia in Athens. He died in 1858 of measles leaving his wife and eight children. My great grandfather, Adolphus Herndon White was his youngest. Mary A. L. Jordan was the daughter of Thomas George Jordan (d.1872 Bullock County, AL)and Mary Lovicy Chambless of Society Hill, Macon County, AL. She remarried William R. Long and had three more children, Beulah Malissa, Robert E. Lee and Mary Long. We know nothing of this set of Long children. I'd love to locate their descendants. Robert E. Lee Long lived in Dale County in 1900 and Geneva County in 1910 & 1920 per census. Anyone out there with help? Jackye Penney
