Nina, I have some COPES in my line. Did your Joseph Cope have any relations by the name of Elijah Cope? I also have Sarah (Hearn) Cope, widow of Samuel Cope..died 1842, in Pike Co. She then married William Thomas and had several more children. Sarah is the mother of Elijah.
