R Jones, Thank you for the information on the Lorenzo Thomas, B 23 AL CSA,who is buried in Bethel Cemetary in the Scotland Community. I do have a Lorenzo Thomas b. 1834, SC in my direct line. He is the second child of James D. Thomas b.1808 SC and wife Catherine(?)b.1812, NC. My gg grandfather, Asa G. Thomas was the oldest of their children. I'll have to do some further investigation, but he could well be my Lorenzo. Can anyone tell me about this Military company...Confederate? Would these records be obtained from St.Louis? Thanks for all the help...I am trying to pull information together to put my lines in the Barbour Cty. and Bullock Cty Heritage books 2000, which I just found out about. The deadlines draw ever nearer and I was hoping to fill in a few gaps. Happy Hunting all!
