    3. Hello all, I am looking for any information on my THOMAS lined in Bullock Cty, AL. The library here does not have census records for Bullock, Pike or Barbour Counties. Is there someone who can do a look-up for me on the 1870 Bullock and 1880 Bullock Cty. Census records. The individuals I am looking for are heads of Household and the individuals listed in the home. James Thomas with wife Mary; James D. Thomas with wife Catherine, John F. Thomas with wife Martha Jane(Gilmore); William Thomas with wife Sarah (Hearn) Cope Thomas; Asa G. Thomas with wife Sarah Elizabeth .(Morrison). married 7 April 1855 in Barbour Cty. These famlies were all living close to one another on the 1850 and 1860 Pike Cty,census. Each of them had several children. There may be other Thomas' in the area that I am unaware of as well. I do have a 12 yr gap between two of the children. Asa is the son of James D. This is my direct line. Asa and Sarah had two boys that I am aware of. These two sons, Alonzo H. and Edward Edgar migrated with their uncle Wade H. Thomas to Arkansas and are found on the 1880 Sebastian Cty. Census. I am trying to find out what happened to Asa and Sarah. I did find an entry for an Asa G.Thomas who enlisted in Wake Cty, NC on 18 July 1862 at age 21.The age is not right but I have seen stranger things happen. Does someone have an Al death index to check for some of these Thomas'? I am trying to get some information gathered so that I may do a write up for the Heritage Books for Bullock and Barbour Ctys. I don't have the time to order in all the films and info I need before the deadlines...can anyone help? I am trying to take the family back into SC but have yet to find a single clue as to the county they came from. The way it looks...my direct line may have been the only group to leave AL for AR. Would like to know what happened to the rest of them! I will gladly pay for photocopies et al if anyone has the time to help me out.
