I think James was Hortense and Columbus's son.After her death he went back to Ala. Columbus married Mary Jane Smith on Jan. 29, 1874 in Bullock co. He moved to Ashley Co. Ark and had several more children. Columbus parents were Jackson Courson b.1815 d. Sept. 20, 1892 in bullock Co.and Mary Ann Cannon b.1830 d.1898 Jackson was a son of the RW soldier James Courson born 1762 died 1834 in Macon co.
