    2. Source: The Tuskegee News, April 27, 2000, p. A-5 JUNIER, Allan George, a resident of Tuskegee Institute, died Friday, April 21, 2000 in Opelika. Services were from Bowen United Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 25, with Rev. Robert Spicer officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery with People's Funeral Home directing. Survivors include, wife Artemisia J. Junier, Tuskegee Institute; daughter, Sharilyn Junier, Milwaukee, WI; nieces Carolyn Archie, Patricia Lee, both of Milwaukee, WI, and Gwendolyn Mobley, Key West, FL; nephews, Melvin Lee, Kenneth Lee, both of Milwaukee, WI, and Michael Jones, Key West, FL; and more friends. PURIFOY, Walter, 66, a resident of Shorter, died Sunday, April 16, 2000 in the Montgomery VA Medical Center. The funeral was Saturday, April 22, from Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Shorter, with Samuel Howard officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Burton's Funeral Home staff directing. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Emma Purifoy, Shorter; nine children Leola Harris, Cherry Purifoy, both of Shorter, Osby Hall and Walter (Doris) Purifoy Jr., both of Tuskegee, Larry Hall and Joyce Purifoy, both of Montgomery, Julia (Lewis) Ballard, Hinesville, GA, Sandra (Lonzie) Wade-Purifoy, Nashville, TN, and Joann Purifoy, Stone Mountain, GA; three sisters; six brothers; 30 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. TYSON, Ronald Gary, 49, of Opelika, died Thursday, April 20 at East Alabama Medical Center. The funeral was Saturday, April 22, from the First Presbyterian Church, Tuskegee. The Revs. Mike Gavy and George Husky officiated. Burial was at Bradford's Chapel Cemetery, Shorter. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Sarah Tyson, and one baby sister. Survivors are the mother of his children, Alecia C. Oaks, Opelika; two daughters, Nichole Tyson King, Birmingham, and April Carol Tyson, Opelika; a son, Gary Ronald Tyson Jr., Opelika; a sister, Sarah (Richard) Davis, Cummings, GA; nine brothers, his twin, Donald Tyson, Eclectic; his caring roommate, Thomas Tyson, Opelika; Horace Tyson, Auburn; Carl Tyson, Marmaduke, AR; Pepper Tyson, Bainbridge, GA; Micky Tyson, Opelika; Robert (Linda) Tyson, Pascagoula, MS; Roy (Peggy) Tyson, Vero Beach, FL; and David Tyson, Alexander City; a dearly beloved first cousin, Brenda Jenkins England, Beulah; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Corbitt's Funeral Home handled arrangements.
