Posted on: Bullock County, Al Query Forum Board URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Bullock?read=220 Surname: Drexel, Hayden ------------------------- My great-grandfather was supposed to have been a Sheriff in the USA. Could he have been a Sheriff in Bullock Co. Alabama? This would have been about 1888 onwards as my grandfather remembered playing with Indian children while his father spoke to the Chief. Sheriff Thomas Drexel married an English schoolteacher Clarice Hayden. They had a son named Horace Hayden Drexel in 1888 (born in Arizona). Any information would be appreciated.

Hello Fellow Researchers: I looking for the names of funeral homes in Bullockullock county the would have been in business in 1940 and later. When a body was shipped from one state to the other, a sexton, usually a funeral home director, would receive it and a Burial Transportation Permit was attached to the coffin. This was a case of two relatives of mine who died in Detroit (1940 and 1950) and bodies were shipped to Bullock county. If the funeral home is not in existence today, where would I find a record about the permit, burial, etc. Thanks for your time, HAPPY EASTER! JoAnn JNorman578@aol.com
