Married Virginia Anne ____ b. 16 July 1859 d. 5 June 1916. I'm searching for Virginia Anne Whatley's maiden name. Jeff and Virginia Anne Whatley's children were: Horett (or Hoyt) Whatley b. July 1878 Never married according to relatives. Irey (or Ira) Whatley b. January 1881 Married 1st Della KIRK. They had 2 children that I know of - Christine and Cecil. Married 2nd. Willie HILL (according to relatives) Children of 2nd marriage were General, L.B. Freeman, K.V. and Hildred (sp). Pearl Whatley b. Oct 1883 Married Aaul "Ollie" PLUNKETT (* These names are probably not spelled correctly since my relatives told them to me from their recollections.) Their children were J.D.,Iva, Elzie, Hazel, Elmer, and Gladys. Ada Whatley b. July 1886 married John M. Burk(e)? Their children were Evie, Sophie, Arvel, Omas, Bird, Sadie Belle, Casey, and Verna Mae. Leamon Charles Whatley (MY MATERNAL GRANDFATHER) b. 4 April 1889 d 11 July 1977, m. Etta MOON b. 25 Oct 1894 in Carroll County, Ga d. 27 Feb 1989 in Gadsden, AL. Both are buried in Holly Pond Cemetery in Holly Pond. Walter Whatley who married Tommie Wade(?) Children were Ailene, Marie (Mary). Mancel, Melba,Forest, and Wayne. Dewitt Whatley b. 6 Oct 1883 or 93 (can't read my writing) d. 31 July 1960 m. Ida Dodson. Their children were Buford, Quinton, Harlan, Burtis, Buddy, Edna, Jeannette, Edra, Nadine and Betty Dean. Dussir Whatley married Thomas AKINS Myrtle Whatley married Grady Salome(?) Please excuse all mispellings or errors. I spent the last few days with relatives and they weren't sure about correct spellings. I have a copy of the 1900 Census (from microfilm) and was able to get a few birthdates . However, some were difficult to read because of a scratch mark on the film. I'm sorry this was so lengthy but I am hoping that someone out there in cyberspace is a "cousin" of mine and can help me with the missing information.
