Calvary, Musgrove's Batt. from Nov. 1862 to Apr 1865. Viney and Madison were married in 1864. Madison must have been home on furlough. Madison stated he was never wounded or captured when he applied for his pension in 1916 while living with his stepson James Johnson. Family legend states he was a prisoner in Cairo, IL. Viney went to IL to be with him when he was released. They came home on a flatboat down the Mississippi River and had Margaret in KY in 1866 on the way home. It is entirely possible he was not a prisioner, but he was north of KY when the war ended and Viney went to meet him and accompany him home. Thanks, Lisa Wilson LKWWilson@aol.com
