Louann Barnett, another Murphree researcher, commented some time ago that the Bynum book says that Nancy Murphree m. Jesse Ellis and he was probably the same Jesse that married her half sister Hannah, and that there were no children listed for Nancy. So, I don't have the answer as to whether Jesse married both Hannah and her half sister Nancy. Maybe someone else can help out here.
