She was b. 1778, NC, m. 1796 to Daniel Murphree. He was b. 1778 in Chatham Co. NC. My James Daniel Blakley and his brother, Stephen, enlisted in Company K, 19th AL Regiment, at Blountsville AL on Aug. 12, 1861. Both were wounded at Shiloh, and Stephen died from wounds or illness. James Daniel served to the end of the war. Have you seen the BYNUM books? They address many of the families we are talking about.
