Can someone please tell me where the Summit Post Office is or was in 1860? Or even if that is the correct name. The Blount County Census Image that lists William and Mary Freshour Hullett for the year 1860 is so hard to read but the word looks like Summit. I have looked all over the Blount County map (a very detailed map) and I cannot find Summit anyplace. I am hoping someone on this list can help and will appreciate it very much. Start at the intersection of US Hwy. 231 and 278 at Rainbow X-ing, north of Blountsville. Follow US Hwy. 231 north approx. 5 miles. The old school is on the right. Not sure where the PO was.
