I have a record sent to me on one of my ancestors, Joseph Powell, that says he was born in 1834 at Dekalb, Blount County. I know there is the nearby DeKalb County, but I dont find a town named Dekalb in the Blount/Cullman area. Has anyone ever heard of a town or place by that name in Blount? Thanks, Dickey Powell
