    3. The other thing I thought about after my last message was the cause of her "flux." Great strides had been made in the late 1800s about bacterial causes of disease, and if there was a possibility that the corpse could spread the disease through contact, the family and community may have elected to have a quick burial. If others in the family were sick, the coffin and body preparation may have taken most of Saturday, and the actual funeral was after sundown. I'm just making suppositions here.
