    3. Betty, I have found so many names for the places they lived, but from my knowledge it was all in the same area. They called it Hatchett Mt. it was above the New Hope Cemetery, where most of them are buried. There is an place called BLUE POND close to the old homestead. The Smith's actually owned most of the Mt. I know it is in Blount County, and Straight Mt. sounds so familiar. Are you familiar with this family? Uriah Smith, George Smith, Hettie Smith are my Smith line. Hettie married Jack Hatchett. These are my great grandparents.
