George CHANCE born in TN abt. 1809. In 1841 he married Julia/Julyas Taylor in Blount Co. AL. Living in Blount Co. on 1850 census, in Walker Co. on 1860 census and on 1880 census in Blount Co. Have never been able to locate him on 1870 census, probably due to poor quality of some of the census pages. Last reference for him is in 1888 when he sold his land to Newton FORRESTER. Some of his family moved to Franklin Co. AL afterwards. He had daughters Ann (who married a Carroll and an Elliott), Elizabeth, and Anjaline (who married John Elliott).
