Dear Pat, You mentioned Jasper, John, Lou Pierce and Henry Clay Anderton. I can only find a John Anderton (1797-1873) in my mothers line. I show that Berry, James, Jasper, John, Monroe, Pleasent, Ruben and Wiley Anderton served with the CSA during the war. The John must be different than the one in my line. He lost an arm at Chickamaugua and his wife, Nancy Ann, filed for a pension. You know that the town of Cleveland was named Anderton until they changed it to honor Grover Cleveland.
