    3. Robin,In your Cemetery updates, have you found a John and Martha Allison? I went thru all of the Cemeterys on the website a while back and couldn't find them. I know they were on the 1860 Blount Co Census but can't find them anywhere after that. I did find one of his sons Martin V. in St Clair later. Here is some of what I have on them and I have lots more on my website at the bottom of this mail in my signature.. Since the last episode with viruses, I haven't sent out many messages about the site. Thought it was time to give it a try and offer a small update. Rest assured my computer has been doctored with Mr. Norton... ;-) First of all, thanks to all who have ordered books. I still have a handful of Vol 1 and about 40 Vol 2 left. Vol 3 will be available in the summer. Here's your chance to let me know of any Blount County cemeteries I've missed. Please write me of any cemeteries in Blount County which are not represented on the site. I'll be visiting a few remote cemetery sites in Blount County over the next few weeks in an attempt to round up a few stragglers. Lots of stuff has been added to the site. Just today, two cemeteries in the Walnut Grove Community have been added: Cornelius Family Cemetery and the large Walnut Grove Cemetery. Both are in Etowah County, but I added them because so many Blount Countians were buried there. I seem to recall that the old Blount County line once included Walnut Grove. Can anyone out there confirm that? Another item I'm pleased to offer is the World War II Draft Registration Cards for Blount County. I'm still working on those files. So far, A through I have been posted. I've also added marriages from around the turn of the last century to as many entries as possible. Lots of work has been done in the Civil War section. The 1907 Blount County Census has been moved to that section and broken down into smaller bites with the obits and pictures added to the file next to the items instead of by hyperlink. The 1862 Confederate Census has been greatly expanded with the addition of Volume 2, compiled by veteran Blount County researcher, Carolina Nigg. Company B of the 28th Alabama Infantry, Companies B and K of the 19th Alabama Infantry, and Companies A and F of the 48th Alabama Infantry, and Company D of the 26/50th Alabama Infantry have been completely read from microfilm. Over the next few months I plan to read and post Company C of the 28th, as well as Companies B, C, and F of the 29th. The 28th and 29th are represented by excerpts from books on the site already, but I'm correcting a few mistakes here and there and adding much more material from the original records. It's chilly here near Huntsville today...hope everyone is having a great Springtime! kindest regards, robin P.S....here's the link: http://home.hiwaay.net/~bobwonda/index.html David S.
