    1. [ALBLOUNT-L] Need information on Surname Laurin/Lorren

    3. Good evening. I'm new to the list and hope that someone can help me through a brick wall. I found the following information on my family line: CENSUS YR: 1850 STATE or TERRITORY: AL COUNTY: BLOUNT DIVISION: 17th Subdivision REEL NO: M432-2 PAGE NO: 158B McPherson Daniel 48 M Farmer 500 Ten. McPherson Debyan 44 F SC McPherson Wm. 23 M Farmer Ala. McPherson George 21 M Farmer Ala. McPherson Elizabeth 13 F Ala. McPherson John D. 16 M Farmer Ala. McPherson Lucy 11 F Ala. McPherson Richard 9 M Ala. McPherson Nancy 7 F Ala. McPherson Jas. 5 M Ala. McPherson Monroe 3 M Ala. Laurin Jarncia 28 F Ala. Sims Robert 28 M Farmer 150 S.C. Sims Ann 18 F Ala. Young Eliza 19 F Ala. The above Jarncia Laurin is one of my brick walls... She was left an orphan when her parents John LORREN/LAURIN b. Betw. 1791-95 Hawkins Co., Tn d. 1829 ? m. Julia Ann MCPHERSON abt 1815 in Roane Co., Tn b. Betw. 1794-1797 Hawkins Co., Tn d. 1829 ? died. She had two brothers John Lorren (Jr.) and George A. Lorren (Laurin). George A. Lorren, her brother, was recorded in the 1860 CENSUS for Calhoun County. Her other brother John (Jr.) left shortly after their parents died and was not heard from again. Jarncia was born about 1822 believed Blount Co. When her parents died her mother's nephew Daniel McPherson and wife took her in. I can't find her after this point; however, I have not been able to obtain any census record for Blount Co. after 1850 - the one I looked at was a jpg and poor quality. If anyone knows what happened to this Lorren/Laurin family, please help me. Becky Kivak
