We live near Village Springs, but we are not natives of this area and I have no idea where this cemetery would be located. I asked a couple of people who have lived in this area for years and they didn't know anything about it, either. If someone could come up with an exact location, I'd be willing to take a shot at enumerating or at least looking for particular gravesites. We live in Remlap in Blount Co. in the southernmost tip of the county, so I assume the Village Springs in question is the one just below us on Hwy 75? Evelyn
Here 'tis according to USGS. Be sure the entire URL gets copied to the address bar or it may not take you to the right USGS site. Otherwise use: http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/alabama/al-blount.htm after trying the longer URL. http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnisprod?f_name=village+spring&variant=Y&f_state=Alabama&f_cnty=&f_ty=cemetery&elev1=&elev2=&cell=&my_function=Send+Query&last_name=&last_state=&last_cnty=&page_cnt=&record_cnt=&tab=Y [email protected] wrote: >We live near Village Springs, but we are not natives of this area and I have >no idea where this cemetery would be located.
