My sons' g2gmother is Dorinda ANDERSON. In 1870, 8yo Dorinda lived in Blount County, AL with David and Susannah (Susan) YOUNG. Dorinda's daughter wrote a family history, which included the fact that Samuel B. ANDERSON was Dorinda's father (this granddaughter knew him). Samuel ANDERSON, age 12, lived with his mother, Sarah, and his younger brothers in Cherokee County, GA, in 1850. The David YOUNG family lived just a couple of doors down from them, and had several daughters. In 1860, I can not find Sarah or Samuel ANDERSON, or David and Susannah/Susan YOUNG, but Samuel ANDERSON's younger siblings are living in Falling Rock, Pickens County, GA, with Samuel's 19yo younger brother Moses as head of household. I can assume that Sarah ANDERSON died, but where is Samuel in 1860, and where are the YOUNGs? Any and all assistance with this puzzle would be much appreciated! 1 **__?__ Anderson +**Sarah __?__ b: 1805 in SC 2 *Samuel B. Carol You're showing Samuel B. Anderson's death ca. 1920 Tuscaloosa. Would that be Bryce's Hospital? Do you have him in any subsequent census? I wasn't able to find him in 1860 or 1870 either but was able to find David in 1860. Just a thought about Pickens Co., Ga. I have a Madison Dover in that area in 1850 I've never been able to locate. My theory is that he's a single man in a mining camp in the area. That may be the case for Samuel in 1860. 1860 Jasper PO, Pickens Co.
