I am sorry to hear that Betty had a bad experience and will no longer do research in Alabama. I also live in Texas and since both sides of my family have roots in Alabama I have done quite a bit of research there. I would encourage anyone who has not been to Alabama to visit there. It is beautiful and the people are among the nicest you will ever meet. I recently revisited the Blount County Memorial Museum in Oneonta and would like to thank Amy Rhudy ( Curator) and Melba Lowe for meeting with me at the museum. Finally there are so many people in Texas that can trace their ancestry to Alabama! I'm sure they must get tired of dealing with us once in a while :) James A. Patman Temple, Texas
