For Ron: That's the area of my ancestors. In Cullman Co., Hiway 91 crosses Thacker's Creek R3W, S 23, a very short distance is the beginning of Damascus Rd. which continues to Damascus Church & goes over I-65. Marriot's Creek runs parallel to I-65 in S21 and the Damascus Rd. crosses it also in S21. Personally, I think the part of #91 from Arkadelphia to S24 and joining Road 509 originally was the old Arkadelphia to Blountsville Rd. I think from S24 northeasterly the road was the Hanceville Rd.
