Oldest daughter of George S. CHANCE was ANN CHANCE, born about 1845. By about 1862 she was married to an unknown CARROLL. They had a daughter Sarah born 1863 and a son Samuel born 1872. Ann was living at home with her parents on 1860 census, cannot locate family on 1870 census, and on 1880 census she is a widow with the two children (living in the Gambles, Arkadelphia area). In Dec. of 1880 she married David M. ELLIOTT in Blount Co. On the 1900 census her son Samuel is living in Franklin Co. AL and his mother and her husband are living with him.
