Looking for any Blount Co. information on the surnames in "subject". Here is what I have: Goodwin and Jane Killion, with children John A. Killion, William, Pricilla, and Thomas moved to Blount Co around 1815-17. While there they had additional children Malinda, Perry, Nancy and Daniel (and possibly Eliza). The family is in the 1830 Blount Co census. The family moved to Texas in the 1838 time frame leaving two married children and spouses in Blount Co. These are the two I would like to know more about. I can share MUCH Texas info with any of the family we find in AL. Here is what is known of the family who remained in Al: Thomas married Charlotte Burns March 6, 1836 in Bount Co., Alabama (1836B, License 648, page 250). On the marriage license William Killion swears his brother is (something?) 21 years of age (or born in 1815). Thomas There is no further known record of Thomas beyond the 1850 census . They had two children. Malinda was born in Alabama reportedly in 1818. Malinda married Uriah S . Nesmith on November 25, 1834. They had 4 or 5 children. I am getting the names (soon) of the children of both the unions above. Anyone out there have a connection?? Pete Simmons BQXQ08A@Prodigy.com.

I posted to the OH roots list that I enjoyed the page too. I have since been flamed unmercifully. I guess I'm wondering what another person's opinion is...how do you prove that someone took names from a mail list and posted them, and who cares, as long as the information gets out? It just confuses the heck out of me. Susan >> Susan, As far as I know I haven't received any spam messages from GenForum. If they were spamming why wouldn't we on the lists' be getting these messages. And I don't see a connection. I've visited the web page they say the info was stolen from and it's all about email lists. GenForum is for posting queries. I'm with you. I think there are just a lot of unhappy people in the world that just have to have something to gripe about.
