Irma J. Roy and Peg, I requested information a couple weeks ago about cemeteries which could contain Hollie Middleton Henderson. I got two responses from the list. One from Irma J. Roy and another from a Peg. Irma j. also indicated that James Ammons is still alive and living in Bessemer, Al. I looked him up, found his phone number and contacted him several times, email and telephone. I sent him a map with the locations of the two different cemetery sites that Irma J., and Peg descripted to me. I also have a cemetery location that was provided several years ago by a Ralph N. Henderson from Florida. It seems that there are hendrsons (Close family members buried in each of the three cemeteries), but the one I am trying to locate turns out to be the one that Ralph N. Henderson provided. James Ammons responded to my inquries as the correct burial location for Hollie Middleton Henderson Sr. is in an unmarked cemetery located about 400 feet from the Cahaba River on what was known as "Stein's Bend". I have been trying to find documentation of the location of "Stein's Bend" with no success. James Ammons said that Stein's Bend went by the name of "Rattlesnake Bend". Any how, I would appreciate the help of the Bibb County Historical Cemetery people to locate the so stated cemetery before we lose the guidance of the good man James Ammons and his knowledge. Since he is 93 years old, not able to get to the cemetery, if someone with a detailed map could visit James and have him indicate directions of travel to get to the cemetery it would be an answer to my prayers. Since I live in Idaho, it is not possible for me to do the footwork from 2300 miles away. I do have a computer file of several maps that could be used, and I also have some photos of the grave stones that were taken about twenty years ago if that would helpd someone find and GPS the cemetery. I appreciate anything you or folks on the list can do as Hollie and his wife Sarah are waiting for us to locate and mark their resting spot. Regards, Gary Henderson - Meridian, Idaho </HTML>
