    3. My condolences as well. I met John Brown at an Bibb County Ancestor Swapmeet in the 90's. Only genealogists will appreciate the following remark-at least now Thomas Abney Brown knows who all the g.g.g.g.g.g. are. Abney lived a long life, and all who knew him, were his friends. He was in business to help others any way he could and he participated in all community affairs.I was fortunate to know him, and his brothers, and up until they closed their store, on main street,I never went through there, without stopping to say hello.I have a lot of fond memories of Abney and Frank, one being, of them standing in the doorway to greet all of the young people after school. Sorry I didn't know of his passing until I recieved my Clanton newspaper, so I just wanted to take this means to say goodbye to an old friend, and let his family know I am thinking of them.
