The tornado hit about a mile and a half from our homes but we didn't hear anything. When the lights went out Steve turned on the portable radio and learned what had happened. He bought a portable generator a few weeks ago - said we'd probably never use it - ha! We hooked up the 2 refrigerators, the tv (satellite) and a floor lamp and were quite cozy - lights back on that night by bedtime. We got cable late last night for the phone and computer. The damage is severe - a miracle no lives were lost. If you respond please do so directly to me at carolineh@knology.net , not to the list.
