    3. JoEllen, I have Latham and Spinks as collateral lines. I bought the "Family Maps of Bibb County, Alabama" Deluxe Edition this past weekend at the Texas State Gen. Society Conference. It shows by Township, Section and Range the original land owners, Homesteads, roads, waterways, towns, cemeteries, railroads and more for Bibb Co. Arphax Publishing Co., 2210 Research Park Blvd., Norman, OK 73069, toll-free 1-800-681-5298. The LDS/Mormans have filmed Bibb co. deeds. You can rent the index and deeds on microfilm from Salt Lake City to the nearest Family History Library nearest you. It cost $5.50/roll at my local FHL for a month loan. You can renew after that. Care to tell us exactly who your g. grandpts. were in Randolph, AL? Liz in Houston PS-I was surprised to meet two other Bibb Co. researchers beside myself at the TSGS conference in San Antonio. One was a Morrison researcher. ------ Original Message ------ Received: Sun, 08 Nov 2009 01:14:32 PM EST From: JoEllen Holmes <jholmeslcsw@gmail.com> To: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com, albibb@rootsweb.comCc: ALBIBB-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ALBIBB] original Land documents/Deeds of Bibb County Friends, My great grandfather and great grandmother lived on alot of land in Randolph, AL. I would like to know how my great grandfather and grandmother acquired this land. My great grandfather arrived there sometime in the 1870s, while my great grandmother was born there along with parents. Where would I go to find out who the originial owners of land would be for Bibb County? Does anyone know? And how would I find out how they obtained the land? It has not gone through many hands I know...
