    3. Caroline, I am getting a Bibb County, Georgia excerpt on the link that you provided. I will google it also and see what happens. Perhaps some of the online used book suppliers would have copies. Or someone on this list would be willing to donate a copy to the library. I used Google and came up with what seems to be an excerpt from the book at http://gahistory.i-found-it.net/braswellmurder.html There may have been a few more excerpts but I didn't continue looking. 3. Oops, and sorry, obviously I didn't read the article :) I later checked "Abe Books" and they didn't have either book listed. 3. Abe books has the Moonshine book for $70. For those that don't know it is sort of an autobiography of Mr. Elam about his military time and Bibb County Supposedly it is the source of Bloody Bibb. I wrote the seller to see if that is a current price or not. 2. V. D. Elam died Nov. 1, 2004.?I don't know if his?family still has?any of his?books for sale. I purchased copies at the Brent-Centreville Library years ago. The foreword states that Moonshine 'Till Dawn is an autobiographically oriented true story based on things he did from childhood. He further states that all the stories in the book are not directly connected with his life and there could be some unintentional discrepancies. In the Acknowledgments for Bloody Bibb he states that his information was acquired from stories in The Montgomery Advertiser, The Birmingham News, The Birmingham Post-Herald, The West Blocton Messenger, The Bibb Blade, and various other newspapers. It is a collection of stories about people and what happened to them in Bibb Co. Some of the names of the characters?were changed. There is no index in either book which makes look-ups almost impossible. Jacque
