I am very interested to now if she is Benjamin's sister. Dee Kruse and I tried to figure out her parents several years ago without success. Some Taylor marriage: Perry County, Alabama Elizabeth Taylor m James Harvey 29 Dec 1832 (Have seen her name Louisa) Pleasant Taylor m Jane Weaver 4 Sept 1835 O E Taylor m Malissa Prestridge 13 Feb 1845 Jonathan Taylor m Sarah Jane Perry 14 Jul 1845 Dallas County, Alabama Sarah Jane Taylor m Bejamin F Perry 22 Jun 1846 Pleasant Taylor and Jane in Lafayette County, MS in 1850 with seven children. Onan Taylor and Malissa in Dallas County in 1850 with William Taylor and Mary Harvey age 10 Sarah Jane Taylor and Benj F Perry in 1850 Perry County, Al. Census with Elizabeth J age 2, Mary Angeline age 6/12 and Louisa Harvey age 12 Do you have anything on the death of Sarah Jane Taylor Perry? She is not in the 1880 Census. Also, I have the date on Benjamin but not where he died.I assume in the Civil War It would not be unsual for a Oliver Perry Taylor to be in Bibb County. The County lines of Bibb, Perry, Dallas and Chilton are all so close, at one point it is called the Panhandle because they come togther. My great grandfather was raised in the Panhandle. He was Benjamin and Sarah's son. I lived in Selma, Dallas County all my life until two years ago when I married and moved to Petal, Ms. I loved going to the land where the Perry famiies lived. The old Perry Cemetery was just six miles from my house, but it was destroyed in the 1940s by a farmer. There was a head stone left with the name John Perry inscribed thrown against a fence. You will find very few Perry graves in the Cemeteries becsause they were all buried in the family Cemetery which was destroyed. This makes research VERY HARD... There are a lot of Taylor families in Selma, Al. Thanks, Mary Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
