I understand that the either second or third County Judge was Arthur Atkinson Arthur possibly spelled his name Adkins or Atkins. He was a resident of Old Canton when elected County Judge. He was born about 1798 in Georgia and died about 1863. He married Dorotha Callaway Gardner 21 December 1830 in Bib County, Alabama. Arthur and Dorotha "Dolly" moved first to Autauga County then to Coosa County, Alabama, then to Smith County, Texas around 1840-1845.
