Louise, Use http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ to search for land patents for Alabama. Put in Horne and you will see several land patents listed for Hornes in Perry Co. Please know the Bibb Countyline extended several miles into present day Perry County prior to 1850. There probably will be "regular" deeds in the Bibb and Perry Co. deed books as well.
