My Brown, Langston, James, Cottingham, Parker, etc. lines come from the Six Mile area. Jesse Anderson Brown, Sr. was the first of my Brown to come to Bibb County in about 1820. That is my paternal line. My maternal line is Burt, Watts, Yeager, Daniells, Medders, etc. who lived in Scottsville and West Blocton area. My great grandfather Eustace Burt moved to Bibb county from Talladega County in about 1880. The Watts probably came about the same time, maybe a little earlier.
