    1. [ALBIBB] The Legacy of Samuel Abney, Sr., Revolutionary Patriot
    2. John Brown
    3. Not sure what happened the first time, so tying again! I wanted to pass this along in case there are other Abney researchers out there. The Samuel Abney, Sr. line came from England to Virginia, then to Edgefield District, SC and on to Alabama, Georgia and points west. My line descends from Samuel Abney, Sr. and lived in Chilton/Bibb county near Randolph and Maplesville. Zachariah Abney was an attorney and judge in Autauga County where his descendants still live on the old farm. The book is written by my cousin, Abbey Brewer, with the help of many Abney cousins and researchers. It should be an outstanding work and will clear up the many errors in past Abney research. See Abbeys note below. The book is $45 including postage if order received by March 14th. If you're interested let me know and I'll get you the address and order form. I do not have the book yet and cannot do lookups so don't ask! John Dear Cousins, My book, T/he Legacy of Samuel Abney, Sr., Revolutionary Patriot/, on our family line from our immigrant ancestor, Dannett Abney, through our Abney great-grandparents, Samuel and Martha Walker Abney, is ready to go to the printer. If you want me to have a copy made for you, please let me know right away. I did the book as an outgrowth of working with three other Abney family genealogists who wanted to clear up the early lines of the Abneys especially those of Samuel Sr's father George. I was specially interested in Samuel Abney, Sr. and Louis O. Abney was specially interested in Samuel Abney, Jr. who is NOT our Senior's son. Part of my book is a the Samuel Abney, Sr. part that our group did - lots of facts about our family from deeds and other legal documents. Also included is all other documents saved by the family that have been passed on to me. You may have some, but they are all here in one spot. In addition a friend who proofed the book for me thought I should have our family's story so I wrote that for us, 65 pages, and included as many old photographs of the Abneys as I had and could borrow from you. Attached is some information and an order form. Call or email me if you have any questions, And do, please, pass on this information to other family members who you think might be interested. Thanks, Abbey
