I have been looking far him far a very long time with almost no luck at all. Here is what I know about him. John Henry Blake He was born in iether 1833 or 1835 in Bibb County, Alabama. He died 23 Mar 1913 in Somerville County, Texas. His parents were: Thomas C Blake and Elizabeth Ann Youngblood. His first wife may have been: Salina Wood His second wife is: Nancy Catherine Mangrum/Mangum. He served in the Civil War on the Confederate side: 30th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry. His father was from Mississippi and his mother from South Carolina. He had 2 daughters from his second marriage: 1. Fannie Blake Rich 2. Minnie Blake Sutton, my great grandmother. He also had 6 stepchildren from the same marriage. They Were the children of William Frazier NELSON and Nancy Catherine Mangrum. 1. Bessie Nelson Sutton 2. William Harvey Nelson 3. Edward Lee Thomas Nelson 4. Georgeaboy Nelson 5. Isom Elijah Bradford Nelson 6. Mary Elisabeth NELSON He lived in Texas, Alabama and maybe Mississippi during his life. That is about all I have on him. I cannot find donumentation to back up much of this at all. I do have information and pictures to share on some of his descendants if anyone is kin.
