    3. I searched for Sherrod/Sherod Cutts using the WorldConnect search engine, focusing on any that died in AL. Sherod seems to be the preferred spelling for him and he was born about 1774. I then looked for any children names James. http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi James Cutts appears to have died in Tuscaloosa County AL sometime after 1873 . See the following genealogy webpages. http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=avery2&id=I00260 http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=sayruh&id=I3736 The National Park Service's Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System database lists three possible J or James Cutts enlisting in Alabama. He was born about 1807 in North Carolina and moved to Bibb County with his father, Sherrod Cutts in the 1820's. I believe James may have served in the Bibb County Home Guard or militia during the Civil War. I have no idea where he is buried. Any information would be greatly appreciated. > -Wendy > > Important Note: > The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
