Try contacting Mr. Henry Emfinger at the Aldrich Mining Museum. This museum deals mainly with the mining of the Aldrich area, but Mr. Emfinger is very knowledgable of the local history. Also the Henley research center in the Archives at the Birmingham Library has a collection about mining. I found quite a bit of information there. The coal mining companies kept logs of accidents and deaths and Henley Lynn Research Center has some of this type information. Marvel is located in Bibb County. Try the Centreville Press.
