Aug 1874/75 d. 24 March 1930 Tuscaloosa Co., AL. and wife ETTA GENTRY [this is my mother's grandparents] You stated in another post that you were looking for additional BROWN information. John Brown b. 1818 Mecklenburg Co., NC was the son of ENOCH BROWN and MARTHA "Patsy" WILSON. Martha "Patsy" was the daughter of Revolutionary War soldier JOHN WILSON and wife Elizabeth Smith. There is an estate for John Wilson in the Bibb County Alabama Probate files. From earlier records we know that John Wilson was born 20 December 1760 Mecklenburg County, NC and died 20 January 1838 Bibb Co. Al. and is buried in a private family cemetery near Randolph, Alabama on the present day property of B. Bolding. According to the Orphans Court Minutes, Bibb Co., AL. 1840 ENOCH BROWN and MARTHA "Patsy" Wilson had three children: JOHN BROWN who married Susan Latham and is our direct line, HARRIETT BROWN who married Bailey Latham [believe they moved to Madison Co., TN] and ENOCH M BROWN JR [no other information]. I am willing to share what little information I have on the family with you. You can email me direct for additional information.
