Manuel, Enos and Samuel are brothers. I am glad to see your post as I did not know where Manuel went after 1830 in NC. Samuel remained in AL - later census identifies his mother's presence, I BELIEVE. Enos and Manuel went to AL. My other post identifies their father came to AL - Sion Luther but I have questions about that. There is another possibility: Father was Simeon whose first wife was Elizabeth Rogers and second wife have children listed. The dates of birth do not conflict with our ancestor's timelines BUT conflicts with later census records of Samuel household. These are among the questions. I trust the transcript of the will. I like the concurrence of the records quoted in other post. I like the amount of research in the Phillip Perry genealogy but do not have explanation of the discrepancies like the family being in TN by 1816 yet inheriting land that they "are living on" at a later date, marriage bonds for sons in NC in the 1830s, etc. Of course, there may be no connections at all between the three grandsons of Reuben Rogers and my ancestors - such are the problems of researching this particular time period (the revolution through about 1850). ============ More quoted materials ===== >From Phillip Perry Geneology: "119. Simeon Perry-(Sion, Francis, Philip) was born on 24 Jul 1786 and died in 1826. Simeon married Elizabeth Rogers-. Simeon next married Mary Weir (Ware?)-in 1816 in TN. Children from this marriage were: 391 F i. Mary Thompson Perry-[5549] was born on 23 May 1821 and died in 1832. 392 F ii. Caroline Frances Perry-[5550]. 393 M iii. James Monroe Perry-[5551]. 394 M iv. Sion Wear Perry-[5552] was born on 9 Feb 1820." Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
