Is there anyone in Bibb County who can lookup a probate record for me? I am trying to locate a probate record and/or will for my great-great-great grandfather, Absalom Martin who died approximately 1865 in Bibb County. Scott, you can get in touch with Vicky Clemmons in Centreville at vickclem@bellsouth.net . She *may* be able to make copies at the Bibb Co. courthouse, and will let you know cost. If Vicky cannot do this contact the researchers at the Ala. Dept of Archives and History. You can check on the web site for records available for Bibb Co. Most of the old probate records have been microfilmed. Research requests and fees are explained on the web site.
