Re: - BOOKS "Bibb Co., ALCemeteries, Graveyards, and Family > Burial Plots" (Hazel LeBlanc) Hazel, I've been a by-stander of albibb@rootsweb for several years now and your posting has been the only one that has hooked my attention. I have been trying to locate the cemetery that my Great-great grandfather is buried in? It has been mentioned to be the Struvadent Cemetery on or near Stein's Bend of the Cahaba River in Bibb or Shelby County Alabama. I have a photograph of the one large headstone (Hollie Middleton Henderson) that is in the cemetery, and there are one, two, or three small stones that have just initials on them. A relative that has visited the cemetery ( a couple of decades ago) indicated that there were also depressions in the ground that would indicate that as many as 20 or more grave sites are there, but are unmarked. I am trying to find a relative or persons that know the GPS locations of that cemetery so it can be listed on an Alabama Cemetery of Cemeteries. I would ask that you look in your book and see if you can find it listed, If not, I'll keep working from afar (Meridian, Idaho) to try and get it found. Thanks in advance, Gary Henderson Meridian, Idaho

    3. I have the Family Adventures book. I find no Sturdavant or Stein Bend cemetery. On page 108, in the Hebron Old Graveyard, I find the name of Willie Halie Henderson, Son of H. M. & M. E. Henderson, Sept.12, 1887- Aug. 5, 1913. I'll look for more. 3. On page 117, I find Horace M. Henderson, died July 13, 1976 - age 66. I have read each page with Hendersons and these two are all I find. I hope this helps. 1. [ALBIBB] Sturdivant Cemetery Shelby Co
    2. I hope the below information is helpful and readable. For some reason I'm having a problem responding to e-mail. Shelby Co. has a very good web site. Maybe you'll be able to find further information on that web site. There is a Sturdivant Cemetery in Shelby Co., AL, according to HISTORICAL ATLAS OF ALABAMA, volume 2, CEMETERY LOCATIONSW BY COUNTY, Edited by W. Craig Remington, published by the Department of Geography, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 1999. p. 482 - Sturdivant Cemetery - Township 20 South, Range 4 West, Section 27 - The graves of Rev. Wm. H. and Cynthia Sturdivant (d. 1926) . . . along with members of the Harmon, Henderson and Nichols families of the Bamford area. Good luck in your search, Jacque (Bibb County families - DEASON, ELAM, HORTON, BAILEY, REDD, REACH, PARKER, SMITH
